Visian Eye Lens

36 years of wearing contact lenses and glasses has taken its toll on Lewisville's LouAnn Mix. She wants out.

"The first thing you know, if you wake up in the night or you hear a noise or for any reason, the first thing you're not doing is groping here on the table to get the glasses so then you can function," said LouAnn Mix.

Because her vision is so poor, LASIK surgery won't work on LouAnn. So she's getting this small implantable lens that will allow her to go from blurry to in-focus -- without glasses.

The Visian lens is different from other contemporary lenses like Restor and Crystalens, because it goes on top of the natural lens in your eye, it doesn't replace it.
