Epilasik Eye Surgery For Sudanese

A Sudanese national had Epilasik procedure for glass-free vision at an eyecare hospital in Kovai, Coimbatore, India recently.

Abbas Hassen Mahmoud (28), suffering from high myopia, had approached Lotus Eye Care Hospital.

Dr Selva K. Sundaramoorthy, the chairman of the hospital, advised Mahmoud to undergo Epilasik treatment since the patient was not fit for lasik, as he had high powers with a thin cornea, a hospital release said.

Mahmoud was given treatment on May 15 successfully and gained glass-free vision, it said.

Epilasik, Epi Polis Assisted Insitu Keratomieusis, offers the best wave front correction to regain sharper and clearer vision, the release said.
